2008 Tournament Host Application -- Region 1

You may apply to host a tournament for NSA Region 1 in 2008 by completing the following Tournament Host Application. Priority for a certain date is given to previous year's hosts. A list of available dates is below. Hosts are required to accept teams on a first come, first served basis with a minimum of 8 teams in each age division, except for invitationals that have received special permission from this office. Generally, any team that hosts an NSA World Series Qualifier will receive an automatic World Series Berth in the calendar year they hosted the tournament if the tournament is held before the World Series provided they fulfill all other host berth activation requirements. Any team that hosts an NSA World Series Qualifier after the World Series will receive an automatic World Series Berth in the next calendar year provided they fulfill all other host berth activation requirements. There are fees in connection with hosting an NSA tournament. All hosts MUST sign a Tournament Hosting Agreement before they will be allowed to host an NSA tournament.

Tournament Name, Age Division(s), Event Dates (1st and 2nd Choice), Host Team, and all website contact information is required at the time this application is completed. Coaches of teams playing in the tournament should not be designated as the tournament director. Please chose a parent or other qualified individual to act as Tournament Director if possible. NSA Mass. has certain guidelines which must be strictly followed by all tournaments hosts, including limits on tournament entry fees, tournament format used, deadline date, balls used, awards given, refund policy, and others. All tournaments are 4 game guarantee format with a maximum entry fee of $425 (NSA Mass. recommends an entry fee of $400 per team to remain competitive with other associations). The deadline will be no more than 4 weeks before the tournament (no refunds required after this date).
